Staff Interviews

Summer Camp Staff Interviews will be held this Friday, January 27, 2012 from 5pm – 8pm at the Istrouma Area Council Scout Office, 2^nd Floor Conference Room, 9644 Brookline Avenue, Baton Rouge, LA 70809.

Interviews will be held in 10 minute intervals. We will provide position descriptions for your review and will answer any and all questions you may have during your interview session. If you are under the age of 18 you may bring a parent with you if you wish.

Your Adventure Starts Here

Avondale Scout Reservation is located on LA Highway 10, three miles East of Clinton, Louisiana in beautiful East Feliciana Parish. The Reservation has over 1,665 acres of evergreen and hardwood forest, fields, lakes and abundant wildlife. It is a great place for our youth members to develop the qualities of good character, citizenship, and fitness under the influence of adults of good character. We want our youth to have a great and safe experience in the outdoors at Avondale.

Mission Statement

The program at Camp Avondale was planned with two goals in mind:

1) to provide age appropriate advancement opportunities for each Scout and

2) to ensure that every Scout has a fun adventure that they will remember for a lifetime. Whether your Scouts have just crossed over from Webelo's or already Eagle Scouts working towards Eagle Palms, Camp Avondale has something for every Scout and every Leader.

Summer Camp 2012 Schedule

Staff week: June 3 — June 9

First week: June 10 — June 16

Second week: June 17 — June 23

Third week: June 24 - June 30

Check-in is Sunday between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
(Camp will open promptly at 1:00 p.m.)

Check-out is Saturday by 10:00 a.m.
