Crew 998 is a program crew for scouting at the Avondale Scout Reservation in Clinton, LA. The purpose of our crew is to enhance the scouting programs held throughout the year at Avondale Scout Reservation. Crew 998 consists of several different patrols/teams based on the various program areas of camp such as:

• Aquatics
• Camp Crafts
• Climbing
• C.O.P.E.
• Dining Hall
• Ecology
• Outdoor Skills
• Science & Tech
• Shooting Sports

The prerequisites of becoming a crew member are as follows:

• Must have served on Camp Avondale Staff (summer or winter)
• Must have applied to Crew 998 through the BSA Venturing application process

Crew 998 meets the last Sunday of every month unless otherwise stated. All meetings are open discussion and will be informal in structure. Most topics discussed at Crew meetings will be consisting of new program ideas, various improvements relating to program and fundraising. Meetings will be about 2-3 hours in length. If you would like to “Snack and Chat” please bring your own food and drinks.
